Each year, university students volunteer as mentors to help mentees with completing homework, reinforcing reading and math skills, and participating in enrichment and recreational activities. Al’s Pals mentors commit one afternoon weekly, Mondays through Thursdays, from 2:30–5:15 p.m. for 10 weeks during the semester to serve elementary students in 1st through 5th grades at local school sites. It’s a great way to get involved and meet fellow students while making a difference in children’s lives.
We invite you to help us serve the youth in Tuscaloosa through the Al’s Pals program. Our community partners and schools we serve are excited to have us in their after- school programs.
